These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of gpaNepal (the “Service”) at gpanepal.com. By using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. What gpaNepal is

gpaNepal is a free, informational tool that calculates SGPA and CGPA based on the grades and credit hours you enter and the grade-point scale of the university you select. It is an independent project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or an official service of Pokhara University, Tribhuvan University, Kathmandu University, Purbanchal University, or any other institution.

2. Results are for guidance only

We work to keep grade-point scales and calculations accurate, but the Service is provided for convenience and guidance only. Grading rules can change and institutions may apply special cases. Your official transcript and your university's records are always authoritative. Always verify any number that matters (for scholarships, applications, or graduation) against your official results.

3. Your data and responsibility

You are responsible for the accuracy of the grades and credit hours you enter.
Your data is stored locally in your browser. Keeping backups (for example via CSV or PDF export) is your responsibility. We are not responsible for data lost when you clear your browser.
Do not use the share feature for information you consider confidential.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service, including not attempting to:

disrupt, overload, or attack the Service or its infrastructure;
scrape or copy the Service for a competing product in a way that breaches these terms;
use the Service for any unlawful purpose.

5. Advertising

The Service may display third-party advertisements to remain free. Your interactions with advertisers are between you and them. See our Privacy Policy for how advertising cookies are handled.

6. No warranty

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted availability.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, gpaNepal and its maintainers are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, the Service or its calculations.

8. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes take effect when posted, and we will update the “Last updated” date above. Continued use after changes means you accept the revised Terms.
