What to include when you report a problem
Most reports we receive are about curriculum data — a subject that has been renamed, a credit-hour value that no longer matches, or a program we have not covered yet. These are easy to fix quickly, but only if we can identify exactly what changed. Please include:
- Your university and faculty (for example, Pokhara University, BE Computer).
- The semester number the problem is in.
- The subject code as printed on your syllabus — codes are far more reliable than names, which colleges abbreviate differently.
- What it currently says on gpaNepal, and what it should say.
- Where you are getting the correct information from — a syllabus PDF, an official notice, or your registration slip.
Curriculum corrections are best sent on Discord, where we can track them against the right program. One-off questions, privacy requests and anything you would rather not post publicly are better by email.
Requesting a new program
We add programs as we get reliable syllabus data for them. If yours is missing, send the semester-wise subject list with codes and credit hours and we will build the template. In the meantime, you can still use the calculator: choose your university, start from scratch, and add subjects manually — the correct grade-point scale is applied whether or not a template exists for your program.
Things we cannot help with
gpaNepal is an independent tool built by kibu.space. We are not affiliated with Pokhara, Tribhuvan, Kathmandu or Purbanchal University, the National Examinations Board, or any examination controller. That means we cannot look up your result, correct a marksheet, answer admission questions, or tell you whether a re-examination will be recorded on your transcript. Those all go to your college or your university's examination section.
We also cannot recover data you have lost. Grades are stored in your own browser and never sent to us, so if you clear your browser data there is nothing on our side to restore from — which is exactly why the calculator offers CSV export. Our Privacy Policy explains what is and is not stored.
Response times
gpaNepal is maintained by a small team alongside other work, so replies are usually within a few days rather than the same hour. Discord is generally faster than email because other students often answer first. Bug reports that stop the calculator working get priority over feature requests.
