About the Kathmandu University grading system

Kathmandu University is known for its rigorous, lab-heavy engineering and science programmes, and it reports results on a 4.0 scale topped by “A+” (4.0). KU's School of Engineering and School of Science run programmes such as Computer Engineering, Computer Science and information-technology tracks, all on the semester system with continuous internal assessment feeding into each subject grade.

Because KU courses often combine theory, tutorials and practicals into credit-bearing units, getting your SGPA right means weighting every subject by its credit hours — not averaging the grades. This calculator uses KU's grade-point values, so selecting Kathmandu University gives you an accurate semester and cumulative GPA without manual lookups.
