About gpaNepal
gpaNepal is a free SGPA and CGPA calculator built for students of Nepal's semester-system universities. It started from a simple frustration: every semester, students across Nepal recompute their grade point averages by hand or in spreadsheets, using whichever grade-point table they can find — and often the wrong one. We wanted one accurate, fast tool that knows the difference between how Pokhara University and Tribhuvan University grade an “A”.

Results update as you type. Each semester's SGPA is the credit-weighted average of its subjects, and your CGPA is recalculated across every semester the moment anything changes — no recalculate button, no spreadsheet formulas to maintain.

- Add, rename or remove any subject — templates are a starting point, not a cage.
- Switch faculty later without losing what you have already entered.
Export and backup
Because your data lives in your browser rather than on our servers, exports are how you keep it safe. Export regularly — especially before clearing browser data.
- CSV export for backup and moving between devices.
- PDF export for a printable, presentable report.
- CSV import to restore a backup or bring in data you keep elsewhere.
- Validation on import, so a malformed row tells you what went wrong.
CGPA trend analysis
A chart of your SGPA semester by semester, plotted against your running CGPA. It makes the shape of your degree visible — whether you are climbing steadily, or one bad semester is still dragging the average down.
Share and compare
Generate a link to your results and compare with friends. Sharing is opt-in and per-link: nothing leaves your browser unless you explicitly create a share link.

Universities and programs we support
gpaNepal supports four major Nepali universities, each on its own 4.0 grade-point scale: Pokhara University, Tribhuvan University (2024 scheme), Kathmandu University and Purbanchal University. Across these we cover a wide range of engineering, computing and management programs — including BE Computer, BE Software, BE Civil, BSc CSIT, BCA, BBA and more — and you can always add custom subjects for any program.
Privacy first
Your grades are yours. gpaNepal stores the data you enter locally in your own browser, not on our servers, so your academic records stay private to your device. You can read the full details in our Privacy Policy.
Free to use
gpaNepal is free. To keep it free and online we may show advertisements. The calculator itself requires no sign-up and no payment.
